Please call us : 0333 998 8899 or mail us on cc@mygibraltar.co.uk or chat with us, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Many celebrities (John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Lawrence Harvey, Margaret Leighton, Frederick Forsythe, Sean Connery & Roger Moore to name but a few) have visited Gibraltar specifically to get married. The room in which John & Yoko got married is now, in fact, a storage cupboard in the registry office but there are plans to get this room renovated and made available again for registry office weddings for the complete 'John & Yoko' wedding experience. Should the sun gods be smiling down at you on the big day and, if you ask nicely, the registrar may just agree to conduct your ceremony outdoors in the little garden adjoining the registry office.
The DellDesigned by a Genoese horticulturist, the Dell is an intimate venue perfect for intimate, outdoor, civil ceremonies. The pretty venue can hold up to 15 guests in the sunken area beneath the wooden bridge. For weddings with more than 15 guests, they may stand on the bridge itself looking down at the ceremony taking place in the garden below. The bridge is quite low so views are clear and uninterrupted and guests will still feel involved in the proceedings.
The Open Air TheatreFor larger wedding parties, the Open Air Theatre is a more apt choice as it can hold up to 450 guests. Here, you can get married whilst standing in the middle of a large, fish filled pond with your guests sitting on the grassy verge. Perfect for both ceremonies and receptions.
Lions PondThis venue is generally used as a post ceremony drinks venue and often combined with a ceremony at the Dell but it is now also licensed for smaller civil ceremonies to take place.
Ocean View TerraceThe venue, located at the Caleta Hotel, juts out over a promontory and offers magnificent views of the Mediterranean sea, Gibraltar, Spain and Morocco. As beach weddings are not permitted in Gibraltar, this is the closest you are going to get to a beach wedding experience. There are two terraces available depending upon the size of your wedding party: the first is suitable for up to 12 persons and the second is for up to 40 persons.Ideal for ceremony and drinks reception.
The GardenAnother venue located at the Caleta Hotel, this is a private garden with open spaces and a fixed, white marquee at the end of the garden for weddings. Look out for the red telephone box in the garden for a bit of British flavour! Good for both ceremony and bbq or buffet meal.
Wisteria RoomLocated at the Rock Hotel, the venue can hold up to 40 persons for a civil ceremony followed by meal. Glass patio doors lead out from the room onto a terrace overlooking the sea.
The KhaimaA new & unique concept in Gibraltar, the Khaima is a large marquee with capacity for up to 200 guests located in the grounds of the Rock Hotel licensed for civil ceremonies. Its red, green & gold decor and flame torches give the impression of being in exotic Morocco hence its name which means marquee in Moroccan.
PoolsideHaving recently undergone a complete overhaul to the tune of a quarter of a million pounds, the poolside at the Rock hotel is fabulous for an evening buffet or bbq. It is only available for receptions.
The MountSituated just past the Rock hotel and on the Rock of Gibraltar itself, the Mount is a venue previously used by visiting VIPS for functions and you'll even find several trees planted in the grounds' gardens by several members of our very own British royalty. Licensed for civil ceremonies.
Mons Calpe SuiteCompletely unique and completely epitomizing all that is Gibraltar! This venue offers you a vantage point at the top of the Rock as you take your vows. The views are incredible with the glittering blue ocean spread out beneath you; Spain ahead of you and Morocco to your right. Follow the ceremony with a reception but remember...no eating or drinking permitted outside on the terraces lest it tempts the monkeys to steal your food.
Bay & Rock View SuitesYou'll find these two suites on the 8th floor of the Eliott Hotel which is the pool level. The suites can be used as one large venue or may be divided to make 2 smaller rooms. The Rock View suite has a nice terrace suitable for outdoor drinks receptions. The venues are licensed for civil ceremonies.
ChurchFor religious ceremonies, there is a large choice of churches & cathedrals for a traditional marriage ceremony. Divorced couples may be married in church in Gibraltar.

TempleThe Gibraltar Temple is located near the registry office and offers the opportunity for you to have a symbolic (not legally binding) Hindu marriage ceremony which includes walking 7 times around a fire. Some couples get married twice in one day by having both a legally binding ceremony in the registry office as well as a traditional Hindu ceremony in the Temple!
