*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***
FOR ALL PASSENGERS TRAVELLING WITH LOW COST AIRLINES
Effective 30 April 2013, Easyjet moved to online check in only. All check in desks have been replaced by Bag Drops. All customers must check in on line before arrival at the airport.
Most low cost airlines are now charging passengers an airport check-in fee. This can be avoided if you check in online prior to your departure date. You will also need to print the boarding passes and take them with you to the airport. If you do not do this, you will be charged an airport check in fee by the airline. If you require assistance in retrieving your boarding passes (in both directions), please contact us immediately on 020 8518 1010.
Please note, if you are travelling with checked baggage you may not be permitted to check in online. If you are travelling with an infant, then your party will have to check in at the airport to ensure that your infant is seated in an appropriate seat. Online check in will not be available for your party travelling with an infant. Airlines affected by the airport check in fees currently include Jet 2, Wizz Air and FlyBe but we urge you to check before flying whether your airline has now adopted this policy.
ADVANCE PASSENGER INFORMATION (API)
If you have not provided us with your API as requested at the time of booking, you will not be permitted to check in online. This means you will be subjected to both airport check in fees and any administrative charge made by the airline to complete your API at the check-in desk.
All low cost airlines charge to check in any hold baggage. You may pay for this in advance to us or you may pay the airline directly on the day of departure at a slightly higher rate. For most airlines, cabin baggage, normally up to 10kg, is permitted free of charge but is subject to changes depending upon the airline you are flying with.
In order to ensure compliance with Immigration and other governmental authorities, passengers are required to travel with a valid passport, and any necessary visas where required, on all international flights. Please note that if your photographic ID is damaged in any way it may not be accepted. It is important that your passport or other travel identification documentation is valid and matches the name(s) on your reservation for travel on all flights, including UK domestic flights.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all the necessary valid and undamaged documentation including visas to meet the immigration authorities’ requirements of your destination country. Please note that we will not be liable for any consequences of your failure to arrive without the correct documentation and any fines, penalties or other expenditures incurred shall be paid by or charged to you.
You may purchase in-flight drinks and snacks. With some airlines, it may be possible to pre-book your in-flight meal at a charge.
Low cost airlines are subject to last minute changes in flight schedule / operation. We require all passengers to reconfirm their flights (in both directions) at least 72 hours prior to departure to ensure flight details are still correct as at time of booking. Please note that we will not be liable for any consequences of your failure to reconfirm your flights and any fines, penalties or other expenditures incurred shall be paid by or charged to you.
Heightened Security Measures at UK Airports
Important Information - Due to heightened security measures at UK airports, we advise all customers to check in a minimum of 2 hours before departure and to check with your departure airport for updated information on security measures. Please also be advised that following the introduction of the use of body scanners at a number of airports, you may be selected for scanning. Any person refusing to be scanned will be denied travel without any further liability to the airline, travel agent or the respective airport. Further information can be found at www.dft.gov.uk
